School fit out season comes to an end
Garners is celebrating the end of a record-breaking school fit out season!
Over the past few months, Garners Food Service Equipment has wrapped up eight secondary/SEN schools under the PF2 (Priority Funding) scheme, making it a total of 30 education projects worked on since last summer.
With schools and universities being our bread and butter since Garners’ formation, we’re constantly striving to carry on our reputation of excelling in this market.
Our Project Manager on many of the PF2 schools, Adnan Halimic, started out at Garners nearly 10 years ago as a Designer/Estimator – he’s witnessed the vast efforts and improvements made within GFSE to stay ahead of the game.
“With the advent of Building Information Modelling implementation in the UK, we experienced some teething pains when getting used to the new methods and software, but alongside that came new opportunities – particularly in the education market. Being BIM-ready opened the door for us to work on a massive amount of public sector projects, which went hand in hand with academised schools being granted autonomy over their spending.
“On top of the public sector, the university market has exploded for us in recent years as well – we’ve seen huge demand for world-class facilities.”
